Gents,
Im finally getting to the point where im installing pex in preparation for my concrete. Realizing I only have one shot at this I want to make sure I get it right the first time.

Facts:
Barn size 3200sq ft
Im using a wall hung Lochinvar Knight boiler WHN085
I have two zones, Zone 1=2100sq ft zone 2=1100sq ft
Two manifolds 1 is 7 loops the other is 4 loops
using a lochinvar hot water storage tank 20" diameter
My manifolds are mounted about 32" from the finished floor to the top of the manifold.

Issues:
I have limited space, (which most of you will probably find more than adequate)
65" wide X 8' tall space for manifolds boiler and all the other stuff.

Notes about the attached picture:
The electrical panel is moving to the left quite a bit to create my 65" opening.
The hot water storage tank will be on the right and is the right side of the 65" opening.

Questions:
Is this space sufficient for my needs given the manifold height or should I lower them?

How close can I put my manifolds? They are 1 1/4" outlets, located on the right side of both manifolds.

I have attached some pictures of my progress also so feel free to comment if you see issues.
Thank,
Steve

Put some cellophane or sheet plastic over the exposed PEX and manifold for the pour. Keep a dirty hand or splatter from getting on them and down the PVC elbow.

I would suggest some space between the manifods to run some PEX (or whatever you are using) and make the connections to the rest of the system. It's not clear in your post how both manifold sets are going to be plumbed, series or parallel.

Spend some time thinking about the plumbing runs. The ability to move stuff after the pour is limited.

It would also make sense to not have them too close to the floor. They will need to be manipulated to fill the system, you need some space to make the PEX connections, etc.

One thing I'm shooting myself for now is putting them too close to the wall. It is a royal PITA to drywall mud behind the manifold and lines. I should have spaced them off the wall by another 2x4 or something.

Looks as if you have enough exposed pex to move the manifold out away from the wall the thickness of a 2x4"?
