Make It Extreme cold saw

So, I've been watching Make It Extreme on You Tube (check it out if you haven't seen it) and I am really interested in the cold saw they are using, but all brand ID's are gone and I can't figure out what kind it is. I e-mailed them, but got no reply. I know they are in Cyprus, so I imagine it's european, but if I can find the brand I can do some detective work. Anybody have an idea of what kind of saw that is?

Looks a lot like my Hitachi model, but not exactly. Definitely nothing special, bout the same as all the others I have seen. Slightly better better fence then some.

If you are looking for a good Dry Cut saw, which these are. I really like my Hitachi but its hard to find reasonably priced. I also really liked my Evolution II (dedicated 14" version), it actually was a better saw then my Milwaukee version (broken fence) and also the Dewalt (stamped base, flimsy).

I tried to help you out and did a google image search but nothing popped up.

I really like my Jepson Super dry cutter, it is by far the best dry cut saw I have ever used.

I think the saw has been repainted and logoed up with their show logo. The opening sequence for the metal roller shows the saw pretty well.

I did notice that the warning on the blade cover is in English. If it were a USA product it would be in English, Spanish, French, all poorly translated from Chinese.

Kinda resembles a FEIN Slugger but the color is all wrong.... the Clamping parts but the cover for the clamp screw... odd... don't know...
MK Morse Metal Devil is a damned good saw, and the Rigid one is damned good as well...
Just be prepared to buy a few hundred dollar blades....

I like my bandsaws better tho...
But Dry Cut is sure FAST!

A more close up pics from a different video.... looks like a TCT saw.... Chinese ones... TCS3602 model..... except that little arm at 00:10 of that video that pivot arm looks different, everything else looks the same. Maybe it's something that gear toward that region.

BTW OP.... if you do choose that evolution saws. Don't GET THE RAGE series (the orange or green ones)....

the blades are OK, but the saw Flexes when making deep cuts like a 3/16 wall 2"x2' square tubes or a 3" exhaust tubing.... the blade flex/deflects a little so the cut is slanted.... from top of the cut to bottom... ..... Also clamping system is horrible on this Rage series no quit clamps. the steel series is the blue ones.

Not too sure about their Evolution saw360 series or aka SteelMax series. That Jaspen series recommended seems to fix that flex issue with that two roller on the cover. if you review that video, but it's also 2x more of the EvoMax360 at whopping 700 something $

Try a Makita LC1230 , cheap but accurate

You can trim the edges of steel with the blade [eg 1/4 to 1/2 the blade width]
This is much faster than grinding if you cut slightly too long.

I got 3000 cuts from 1 blade [I later found out if you re-sharpen it early it can be saved instead of thrown away]

looks like there is an improvement of that Jepson version of dry cut saw.... the rollers can you give a detail pic of those two on the cover ? mention on your video 5:14.... any detail pic of what it is ?

The blade stabilizers? I don't know what they are made of but they do work. Some of the other saws I have used sing and this one will too if you lock the stabilizers back, but with them in place they take a lot of the vibration out of the blade.

I am not out at the shop right now but when I get back I will try and remember to get some pics of them.

No, like I said Anti Virus went nuts and didn't like the idea of going to that page AT ALL... I just wanted to see a larger picture of the saw... Oh Well...
I've had a Northern Tool Version of the Dry Cut for a year now, still works great, been through two blades but that is not the saw or the blade at fault, it is the users... here in the shop they managed to tear the clamshell guard up, and MELT the blade... They are actually quite CLUELESS how to run the saw, cutting conduit, little pieces of half inch EMT Conduit for spacers, RUINING a hundred dollar blade a month! DAMMIT!

I saw a very nice video on the Jepson 9435 saw, but I've not been able to locate a seller in the US. Lots in Europe and other places, but none here that I have found. The FLEX saw in the picture looks just like the one in the videos except for the color. Of course, the company in the link is in South Africa. I'll see if I can track down the TCT saw. Thanks for the feedback, keep up the good work.

Are they on both sides, or just the bolt side of the blade? Do they physically touch the blade during operation?

Im thinking retro fit on my Hitachi....

I didn't get a chance to take any pics, but they are only on the bolt side and do run against the blade.

If you look at 1:50 in the Extreme glass grinder video (

) it shows a clear shot of the label on the motor and it appears to be a V-Power VP-MC14G.

WOW!! thanks for the follow up for such an old post. I ended up getting an Ironton saw from Northern Tool. It works pretty well, but I think I ruined the blade cutting something too thick and too hard. Thought it was CRS, but it was hard mystery metal. It is certainly less good than it was. In the meantime, I picked up a KAMA 996 swiveling cut off saw for about the same money. It is an amazing saw and has become a go-to tool very quickly. On the plus side it has an amazingly good vise and blade tensioning system and the consumables are way cheaper than the cold saw. In addition, it doesn't make all those horrid little metal fingernails that my wife is so fond of. Good support from the distributor. On the down side, a new one is pretty spendy. I have <$250 in it so it was a deal.I will revisit the cold saw at some point and get a new blade for it, but right now, the big bandsaw is doing all I want with ease and much less drama.
