Holly ****, the torque wrench had me doing a WTF look the entire time. But that screw driver one put me in tears!!!. Thanks!

BTW, I've obviously been doing things wrong all these years. I just need a swiss army knife set of scissors, a titanium rod and a few rolls of assembly tape and I'll be able to build ANYTHING :lol_hitti

That is a good torque wrench video, thanks for posting it. It is amazing how you can make high quality tools at home using nothing but common materials. Those were some really strong mini scissors, able to cut titanium like that.:eyecrazy::lol:

The only problem I had with the video was that he spent a good amount of time making sure he had a precise and accurate calibration and then before "torquing bolts" on his motorcycle he proceeds to add 6 more inches of length to the torque wrench shaft by attaching it to the end of a pair of vise grips.:lol_hitti

The funny part is that I have actually used finishing nails to make specialty flat paddle shaped tips for my replaceable tip snap ring pliers, so the manufacturing principles demonstrated in the video are sound. :lol_hitti

When finished, my custom tips ended up looking like a pair of minuscule duckbill pliers and they worked perfectly for the job they were manufactured to perform.

I guess if you can open an alignment shop with never having done any alignments, there is a group of idiots that will find this useful.

It would be nice if he actually knew the proper names for the items he was using.

It is scarey bet in a week he will be in R&D at HF.

The first time I ever rebuilt a motor, (1.5 liter VW rabbit???), I used a fish scale and a 3 foot breaker bar for a "torque wrench".

Not the handiest of set-ups, but accurate enough, that motor ran for years. The flywheel nut even stayed on. I think it was 250 lb-ft. I had to put a 6' cheater pipe on to use the range of the scale.

It was on YouTube so it has to work!!

If you believe that, here is a neat way to get into your car if you lock the keys in the car.

Try it, it it really works!!!!:bounce:

your killing me! Is that really the only problem you see?

The video is a joke, watch his wrist, he can make the indicator go wherever he wants.

What? You mean there were other things wrong as well.:headscrat Nah, those hex key adaptors, cut anything scissors, join anything assembly tape and biro hot melt glue are all standard equipment. I didn't seen anything else wrong. ;)

Obviously, a graduate of the Red Green school of mechanical engineering.
Haha, you weren't alone there. That video totally reminded me of good ol' Red Green as well. :canada:
