So here is what I have: a three car attached garage with the third garage as a pull through.
What I use it for: wrenching, welding, a little woodworking.
What I have to leave room for: 19 ft boat, 2008 CRV, and a 2005 silverado when the weather is bad.
Plans: more storage, new paint, more lighting, a few more outlets.
Enough talk here are some pictures:

Looks like a BBC with nitrous and a tunnel ram. Dig those pretty headers! I bet that thing moves pretty good.........

The boat's name is Makin' Do (hints the garage name). It is a 1986 condor TX-19 that I bought from my dad who bought it new. It is on the lake most every weekend in the summer. We have put it on the track several times through the years, it ran a consistant 12.0 sec 1/4 mile off of the spray. The motor is a .060 over 454 with a 250is shot of nitrous. I really need to do a full rebuild on the boat, that is one reason that I would really like to get this garage cleaned up. Here are a few pictures.

I’d put a cover over the rear parking pad, and move the boat there. Keep the 2 car part as a parking area, and the drive through as a work shop. Just me though. Looks nice and I did the Retro boa styling!

Normal people would probably agree with you jeepjunky. The real reason that I built the garage so big was so that I could quit paying for enclosed storage down the road. Originally I kept the boat in the third car but I didn't like welding so close to it. So I moved it to the other side. This has been working out very well that way I have the third garage clear to use and I just pull my truck in when the weather is bad. The hard part is keeping the third garage clear enough to drive through , even though I have never used it to put a vehicle in the back. Anyway, here is a picture of the shelves I just added.

You said you welcome comment!
I agree with putting up some kind of carport or at least one of those "portable garages" that Costco sells with the sides. If you never pull through, no reason NOT to do that. Frees up a lot of interior space.

I'd put doors in front of those shelves. I find open shelves to be good for gathering dust off everything I do. Plus, it looks much neater to have most things out of sight. My $.02, sorry!

Jeepjunky,
I totally misread your comment. I thought you were suggesting to just tarp the boat and put it out back. That is the way many boats are stored but I am way too scared of hail and other wether here in tornado alley. I have thought of putting an enclosed carport on the back of the garage. For right now it really isn't in the budget and I am not sure how it would look since it will enclose the window over my kitchen sink. Looking back on it I wish I would have made the garage the length of the house when I was building. Now that I have moved the boat to the other side it has worked out well. I use the 2 car for the boat and parking my wife's car and my truck stays in the driveway and gets moved into the third car if there is bad weather.

Dan,
My dad's garage (where I spent most of my life till a couple of years ago) has all open shelving. So naturally that is what I built. After creeping around here at GJ I think I want to put doors on all of my shelves. I am not really sure how to do it to existing shelves. Also, thank you for the suggestions. I don't know if came off wrong in my last post but welcome any suggestions. We don't all have the same tastes or priorties for our garages but I like to hear what others would do.

Tarheel,
The fence is removable and an attempt to keep my Chaweenie from darting into the street every time I open the garage door.

My next projects are to put some more electric in and possibly paint! Thanks everyone for looking.

Speed,
I enclosed some open shelves a prior owner had put in that were solid, but sorta cobbled together. My shelves were really big, but I think it would work for any sized shelves. I made a face frame by nailing plywood I ripped to 1x4 size, then made "panelized doors" out of plywood with a rail & stile appearence by surface mounting 3/4" stock on the plywood.

Now that I type that out, I realize it is just as "cobbled together" as the stuff I complained about!

Apologies for lousy cell photos:
Here you can kinda see the old shelves behind the JetSki's

No "After" shot but I did the exact same thing to enclose a Costco storage thing I used to hate because the bins collected dust like a mutha:

That looks really nice. I think that will work for me. I will need to have the frame a bit larger on the left so the doors will clear the garage door rails.

What are those hooks hanging from the side of the cabinet?, never seen that before.
Nice job with enclosing the bins, I´m doing something similar.
