making a wobble bar

Has any one ground down a normal socket extension bar to make a wobble one.

Or just buy a wobble extension? The harbor freight impact wobbles are nice and cheap if money is an issue.

wobble extentions sometimes can be tricky to warranty due to the "nature of use" so I have always enjoyed using and breaking and then buying more harbor freight ones.

It's not the cost, I have far too many ordinary ones that I never use and just thought that some of the genius's on this site may have done it before and could offer some tips.
But I will just start grinding and see what happens.

Why not sell some so you have less, and with the money buy a new wobble!

Yes the hf impact ones are really one of those major pass items but steer very clear of the chrome ones! Plus hf will honor their warranty of the wobbles no questions

Tried that, doesn't always work when clearance is an issue. maybe just a 1", 3" and 6" would do.

Yes, I have. I spent time filing and testing where the limit of too thin -restricted movement balanced and stopped here.
This one is 1/4" and about 5 inches long. I bought a set of them later on sale, and they are no smoother or permit more angle than mine. All will be well used.

My father used to do the same thing. It was sheaper to buy a Craftsman and grind it than one off a tool truck.
