Gents, looking at buying this table saw for $80 what do you think? It needs a new blade and electrical cord. 40d2777b57697e324669c8a85241bee5.jpg

Looks in decent shape, usually the bottom of the case is all cracked up. That one seems Ok.
Missing the miter gauge, but still has the wrenches. I'd do $80 if I needed one.

The dark green is a late 80's/early 90's version. It's a good one.
I bought a used one in the early 90's and used it for work for 15yrs. It's still going.

I have one that's about 20 years old and that one looks to have been used less than mine so I think it's worth the price.

I also had to change the cord on mine about 5 years ago. The rubber got brittle and cracked. The replacement cord seems to be a lot more flexible than the original one ever was.

I forgot to mention - the slot for the miter gauge that's missing is not a standard size, so if you're going to replace it, you'll need to find one that is specifically for the Makita contractor's saw.

Hey, I got the same one, older than my daugthers:), but still in good shape, never liked the fence and the miter, and have been thinking of replace them both. Is that posibl, maybe throw some ideas at me. The saw also needs servicing as it makes a very load noise when it runs, I don’t think I can take it apart myself and see what’s wrong, thanks for your help,

Is the cord damaged to the point that you cannot test run the saw? I would hate to replace a cord to find out I had bought a non running saw.

I know I am probably late to answer your question. The $80 this guy spent is a good deal. I would say you can get 125 for it if it works properly. $80 would be a quick sale.
