Im looking for some driver bits for my 10.8v makita. Really need the long ones, but will pay more for a set including the short ones if need be. Snap On sells a set for 35.00, that i like but i seen a set on ebay that really looks like the Irwin Vice Grip set in the RWD catalog(snap on catalog of non-snappy items) the set on ebay is 17.00. has anyone bought them? Or heard of their manufactering company? Before i thought they were vim brand, but right now they say apt manufacturing?

What Monte said. Haven't used them yet, but they are on my buy list. If they live up to half their claims, I'm sold.

Im honestly looking for something a bit cheaper than the prices that i saw for those. I have too many other tools that i can spend that money on :( thats why i was looking into the blue point and others.

I wouldn't be so sure. I've got an 18V makita and a 12V bosch, and the little bosch has enough punch to make a mess of the screw head. Imho, the better bits don't cam out quite so easily.

The Milwaukee Shockwave work for me, especially since they're readily available at big box stores. I also have not had problems using good quality non-impact bits with the Bosch PS41-2A, including Snap-On ACR. I just put 50 3" screws into 1/2" plywood and dimensional lumber with no pilot holes this week with a Snap-On Philips #2 ACR and it's no worse for the wear. Broke one screw but the bit didn't flinch and still grabs like new.

My favorite that I already own are the Wera BiTorsion BDC but I've got the Impaktor on my wish list for 18V use. However, for most grind-it-out work I reach for the Shockwaves because they're good quality and readily replaced.

I've found the Milwaukee Shockwave bits to be more than adequate. Have driven hundreds of screws on a single bit. Plenty of cam-outs at the end of the drive or with off-angles, but the bit still looks new. I tried some non-impact bits a few times just to see what happened - they didn't last more than a few screws.
