Makita vs Triton Drill/Driver choice

I've had my 18v 2Ah Makita Drill/Driver set for about 5 years now. About a year ago one of the batteries died and just recently the drill clutch gave out. So I started thinking about replacements. I was set on buying the same set again-still had the driver, charger and battery made sense to continue with it so everything would interconnect. I could leave a charger at the shop and leave one in the bag for job site trips.

Here is the set for reference:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M9D5L3M/?tag=atomicindus08-20

It's 169, and I have prime so free shipping.

However, I just received an email from Rockler with a sale on the Triton 20v drill/driver set with 4Ah batteries for 179 plus shipping

Here is the page for it:

Any experience with Triton? Should I stay the course or jump ship for a bit more power?

the "2" reviews of the Triton are informative.

I would not take the chance on the Triton, given the experience and quality your Makita set has provided. Triton would not be an upgrade/improvement.

I'd be surprised to discover any actual difference between "18V" and "20V" lithium batteries. A five cell pack is going to run about 20.5V fresh off the charger and between 18 and 19V after a few minutes of use.

The increased capacity is obviously good, but I'd rather have 2 2Ah batteries than 1 4 Ah battery, since one can charge while the other is in use.

Go with makita I have same set but if I had to buy another I'd get cx200rb set which is black and drushless but takes same batteries and charger. I do love the white set but I only paid 40 for it used and got the led flash light. I don't know anything about other brand as I never have heard of it and doubt many have. I'd stick to the tried and true makita whick invented the battery powered drill lithium even. You all ready have extras why not.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was leaning Makita, however thought I'd get some second opinions. One of the DiResta brothers just got a bunch of Triton for free, seemed happy, but then again we all would if we were just handed a shop full of tools.
