I just wanted to post up and make sure everyone had noticed that Eagle Grips are out and available on Amazon. HJE said they had an order in but I do not know if they have them yet. Watching the guy crank on them with an allen key in their youtube video got me pumped up.

Looks like only the 4 locking pliers are on the streets so far. Around $35-40 dollars on Amazon. 7 & 10 inch straight and curved jaw.

Malco sent me this pair of Eagle Grips (LP10WC) for evaluation and testing purposes.

Although I haven’t had a chance to test them out yet, the fit and finish on the tool are truly impressive. Malco put a tremendous about of time and consideration into studying the Nebraska-made Vise Grips (by Petersen Manufacturing) and looked for ways to improve on the tool that had become the “gold standard” by which locking pliers are judged. They strengthened weak points in the Petersen design (securing the top jaw to the body of the tool with a rivet in addition to brazing the jaw connection. The “Power Ring” provides additional strength where the adjusting screw threads into the tool body. Long story short, Malco set out to create the very best locking plier ever produced in the USA, and they may have succeeded (time will tell). Eagle Grips are being made in the same DeWitt, Nebraska, factory where Vise Grips had been made before Newell-Rubbermaid moved production to China in 2008. Although the factory is the same, the production tooling and equipment is completely new. Many former Vise Grip employees are now back at the plant working for Malco. As a Nebraskan, it was fantastic to turn over this pair of Eagle Grips and see the “Malco, DeWitt, Nebraska” stamping.

Cant wait to put these to the test and see if they perform as well as they look and feel!

God bless companies that do this. **** Rubbermaid and their moving out of the USA. Greedy assholes.

It's really nice to see Malco making these in the U.S.A, and they look like great quality. I'll buy some, I can wait until Epstein Day.

For those lamenting the price. . . get over it.

Hopefully we'll be getting our Eagle Grip order in about a week. Worked out a deal with Malco where they're sending us a bunch of promotional hats that we'll give away with the pliers. Will post as soon as they come through the door.

Figures. Just bought the 10" ones off the Snap On truck literally 2 hours ago.....for 78 bucks

Haven't used them yet but the fit and finish/build quality of the Malcos makes my Vice Grip and Milwaukee branded ones look like they came from Fisher Price.

Will they be showing up in any physical stores? Not a fan of Egghead Bezos or Amazon.

ALWAYS use your dollars very wisely. You Can find Made in the USA for most things, but they do cost a premium. I am willing to pay the premium with all specs/features being equal. Please spend here at home and keep Americans earning a good wage.

Exactly. It's folks who don't who ultimately encourage companies to go offshore.

Just posted the eagle grip pliers on the website.

https://www.harryepstein.com/new-items.html

We are still waiting on the C clamps and the LP7R which are currently back-ordered. We got a special price on this first batch so prices will go up 10% on our next order. We also worked out a deal with Malco on some Eagle Grip hats which we're giving away with any order of two pliers.

Do I need to create an account to order from Epstein's, I really don't need a pair at this time but looking to support, in want of smaller pairs.
Shipping cost if only buying one pair?

shipping for 2 pairs was 10 bucks

i priced it out, and it was overall the same or a little less than az.

epstein's prices were a bit lower than az.
epstein charges shipping, az does not.
epstein did not charge tax, az did.

easy choice for me.

also, i might get a free hat.

In for three of the 10" and 7" curved sets for the Grandson's Christmas (and hopefully hats for them too). Today's video was another classic. Personally, I love seeing normal folks selling their products to normal folks. Keep the videos coming.....

Got both flavors of 10" pliers from HJE today!

I hope that everybody who gets there hands on some Eagle Grips and puts them to the test will post their thoughts, comments. amd suggestions about them here. I know for a fact that Malco's Eagle Grip research and development team is paying attention to (and reading) GarageJournal's threads, and has been for some time.

7” curved Eagle Grips came in this week. Would love it if they made a bent needle nose style, a 5wr and a 6ln. Very impressed with quality and happy for the great people of DeWitt, Nebraska. Hopefully price will come down over time and initial start up costs are recouped. Quality, design, and fit and finish are A+. Happy to support Malco and USA with this purchase.

I just received my 7" curved pair. I don't know if I can bring myself to use them. They are on my desk in their beautiful box near my computer. I like them here... and I have plenty of DeWitt Vise-Grips in the shop.

Everybody, buy some for Christmas gifts. What a story.

Wow, not 2 months later and they're up almost 20% (42.99 now). I'm going to see if they sell more direct than Amazon...trying to avoid them. Plus, I'd prefer the profit go to Malco...
