As a rule I've liked Malco tools, though what they've done since their reorganization (or whatever they called it) around 2012(?) hasn't thrilled me. I hated that they killed their orange polycarbonate driver line.

More to the point, these magnetized socket inserts do appear to be an innovative design so one can more easily remove the metal chips and slivers that invariably build-up during use. I have yet to try them as I've been using the Makita Gold series bits and such.

I haven't tried the Malco ones, but I like their siding pliers. I did buy a product with a similar premise last week -- Dewalt's cleanable magnetic nutsetters. They work well and look to be available from 1/4" to 1/2" (I only got 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8"). I just bought them to use with tek screws and small concrete anchors.
