I bought this Mall chainsaw from an estate sale this week for $6. I wasnt going to buy it because I have a good saw and it isnt corded but Im like well for $6 I cant hardly not buy it. So I took it home and plugged it in and the plug in my hand started sparking and caught on fire! Didnt shock me but scared the bjeebers out of me. It was a newer looking plug that someone had put on and when I opened it up they had put black wire to the hot and the white to ground. I put a new plug on it and it runs fantastic. Neat old saw. No idea what decade it came from as Ive never heard of the brand before but Im going to do a bit of research for curiosity sake.

Looks like a nice tool. Is there a info plate stating the HP? Looks like in might have some power. Does the thumb lever on top by the side handle allow you to rotate the blade?

Yes pulling up on that thumb lever allows me to rotate the handle 360 degrees essentially rotating the blade.
