The man door on my detached garage has a significant gap along the bottom of the door between it and the concrete threshold.

I am thinking of installing a door sweep on the bottom of the door....any reason to do something else?

Perhaps you could use an aluminum threshold and a door sweep. The thresholds come in varying thicknesses and the sweep will seal the small gap. This works better for larger gaps.

X2. It will keep the mouzies out better, too.

The newer thresholds are adjustable - turning a few screws in the threshold raise or lower it for a perfect gap. Mine came with the door as an assembly, but I'm pretty sure they are available separately.

I agree, if there's no threshold at the door now, add a commercial aluminum one.
but you say the concrete threshold, so is it raised from the floor ?

Yes, it’s a concrete “threshold” an inch or two above the floor, I suppose it’s to keep water out during heavy rain
