Man has it been a busy weekend. After the sheetrocker finished Saturday I was able to get in and empty everything out of the way. I covered the floor with plastic and taped off the doors and windows. On Sunday I rented a paint sprayer from Home Depot and was able to prime all the walls and ceiling.
First thing this morning My dad and I were at it again and painted everything a bright semi gloss white. Once everything was cleaned up and the sprayer returned we were able to bring in the compresor and my tool box. I assembled my new work benches and did a general clean up.

I am very tired, but glad we got everything done that we were able to get done. My electrician will be here tomorrow to hang the lights and do all the finish wiring.

It's almost usable. I really don't want to bring any cars in or start any sort of a project until the cabinets are hung and I have things layed out the way I think I want it. I know if I wait until later to do some of the finish stuff I may never get around to it, or at least take way too long to do it.

Well I know it's been a few weeks but man have we been busy. The lights are now all hung and the garage has full power.

I installed 9 HO lights from Home Depot. They are very bright!

Also my dad and I got the compresor in place and plumbed. I do plan on adding more to the system but for now my pockets are getting pretty empty. I did however decide to use the new SharkBite fittings that Home Depot sells. They are a little pricey but certainly make up for it in conveniance and speed. I am not that skiled at soldering so I thought this would be a good solution. And I now have the ability to add to the system with ease.

I still need to hang some cabinets and get other things situated, but I am finally feeling like all the hard work and all the $$$$$$ is starting to pay off.

I even spent a hour or so making the shelf for the TV and connecting the coax for the cable. I was able to watch some of the NASCAR race in the garage today. That is so Kool!

Absolutely fantastic looking. You really have quite a place. Please continue to post updates. The sharkbite fittings even look good Any problems with them?

The fittings work awesome. They are a breeze to install and when we finally started the compresor there were no leaks at all. I would highly recomend them to anyone.

I used the sharkbite fittings along with PEX which is rated at 200psi at 150 degrees and have no leaks or problems. I liked the PEX because I was able to put the compressor in the basement, and run the line up to the garage making all of the curves with one peice. I tee'd off at the ceiling and go to 2 seperate drops, one at my work bench for air tools, and another drop at the garage door for doing car tires etc.
