Ready to look for heating/cooling for my 20x12 RC Shed. Planning on keeping RC aircraft and cars in here year round along with office space with a computer and TV. Warms up nicely to about 65 using a vornado heater but need something I can set and forget all winter long. In north Mississippi so usually doesn’t get below 0. Any recommendations?

In Mississippi a high efficiency mini split heat pump should be fine and economical. Just be aware that on some of them the minimum setpoint is like 60 degrees, so if you want to keep it colder than that it may not be an option (unless you turn it off).

For a climate that never gets below freezing, a small 12.000 BTU mini split would be perfect and hardly use any power. My 24x22 garage has an 18.000 BTU and, at freezing temp most of the month there is hardly a dent in my power bill. Now, when it gets to -10F then it goes up about 20-25 a month. Biggest thing is the initial cost. I just leave mine on at 62F 24 hrs from Oct-Mar.
