Hi guys, new to this site. I just installed an 18x9' garage door at my house that I picked up used from a guy. The door is a steel non insulated with low overhead clearance track and torsion springs. The door sits nicely in the tracks and operates sweet with loaded springs. However, I noticed now that I have turned the springs even though it goes up nice, it doesn't close down enough to make the top panel sit flush like the rest. It is important to know that I reduced the height of this door by removing one of the 21" panels to fit my opening. If I take some of the torsion pressure off by reducing the amount of turns it seems to lay down again but then I can't lift the door. Any help would be great!
