At Crappy Tire today and I noticed the Mastercraft Maximum wrenches have Gearwrench on one side and Mastercraft on the other. Checked the packaging and it says made for Canadian tire by EASCO a division of Danaher, made in China. I checked other sets in the range and they are the same. I will wait until the $99-99 flex head sets are on 50% off sale and pick up a couple of sets the wrenches feel very nice

I believe the regular Mastercraft Maximum wrenches are made by Stanley (same goes with HD's Husky brand). The basic Mastercraft wrenches are either Danaher or generic Taiwanese/Chinese.

I have a Mastercraft Maximum socket set that is 100% identical to a Husky black chrome socket set aside from laser etching. All identical to other Stanley sets.

Danaher (Gearwrench) has the market cornered on ratcheting wrenches. Probably 75%+ of ratcheting wrenches sold from Mastercraft to some truck brands are made by them. But if you are referring to the regular Mastercraft Maximum combo wrenches, I agree with cdncowboy, they are made by Stanley. Even though I pretty much stick to Gray and SO, I got to admit for the price Mastercraft makes some good wrenches and sockets. Other tools however, like screwdrivers are junk imo even if a huge set costs $9.99 on sale.

these were new stock at the Cambridge store - this is the first time I have seen EASCO on the packaging at the Tire
