Can anyone tell me the name of the manufacturer of the wrench below?
I have a box full of this type tool that belonged to my father that I am going to putting up for sale and in the interest of accuracy
I'd like to know for sure who made them. I suspect Ampco but dont' know for sure. Stamped on the back is 'funkenfrei' which I've come to learn is german for sparkfree. An help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.wrench1.JPGwrench2.JPG

“funkenfrei” would likely mean the wrench was made for the German or European market.
US Non-Sparking tools are usually made by Ampco or Berylco.
Some manufacturers like Crescent occasionally made Non-Sparking tools (or at least rebranded them) but those are somewhat unusual, and likely from decades ago.
Carltsoe seems to be the other more common brand in the US, but I’ve come across it way less than Ampco or Berylco.
In Germany, a lot of the major tool manufacturers seem to have produces non-sparking tools.
Belzer, Endres, Gedore, KS Tools, Bahco, etc. all produce or have produced Non-Soarking tools.
Facom and Ega-Master are two other manufacturers.
I don’t recognize the trademark on your wrench though.

I was thinking Ampco merely due to the similarity of the enlogated diamond shape.

I wouldn’t go us on the diamond in the logo.
Ampco dod manufacture very similar looking wrenches at one point though.
I’m not sure the design progression of the Ampco wrenches.
The wrench markings seem to vary a lot over time.
There are Ampco wrenches I found on eBay Germany that have a similar oval area for branding.
Maybe Ampco produced the wrenches for another manufacturer, or for an end user, and then branded the wrench for that purchaser ?

When looking thru German eBay I ran across a couple listings for E+CO wrenches.

Thanks for the input. I have a bunch of Ampco stuff and several of these. Very curious of the manufacturer and how they came to be in my dads tools. Also have a bunch of Berylco stuff too. Mainly sockets, ratchets, etc. I will never need this stuff so I am trying to get as much info as I can before I try to sell them.
