I bought one of these off ebay since I don't have marine tanks, but I have many 6 gallon fuel cans. I will make a spacer/fitting for the jug cap so I can run a siphon line up to the cap, then another hose to the generator. Your version may be better if you have the marine jug.

Thanks, I do not have enough clearance to go straight up, so need a disconnect and I have the portable marine gas can on the other end.

Does your boat tank already have fittings? I don't think the fittings you posted are compatible with each other, these should do. Do you plan to make your own hose or a premade one?

And

Will DIY, the ready made setups are fairly pricy. Running into an issue with the fittings mostly being 3/8, I would prefer 1/4 so am going to try and jam a 1/4 hose on 5/16 fitting.

And

Thanks, I looked at the fittings and the ones I ordered are slightly different from what you posted, so ordered what you suggested.

Hopefully you can return which ever fitting don't work. I still have a pile of mistakes from the past and I haven't had a boat in years!
