Just a still from the video, unfortunately.
I was afraid of that. I will take some still pictures today and hopefully I can capture the lighting. In a way the lighting is cheesy but it does put a smile on peoples face when they see it. I do have more pictures of the Corvette to share. I am really excited about what is happening in the engine bay. Wow its going to be super cool.

Mark, You still alive??
Be careful with that question.
I hadn't heard from an old HS buddy in a couple of months (he was in CA, I was in FL). Texted that question. No response. Tried calling. No answer. Emailed him, same. Tried calling, texting, emailing his old girlfriend. Nothing. Started googling him looking for obit or something. After a few days I found an old email with his work number. Called and found that he died at work two months earlier of a massive heart attack. 65 years old.

Mark, so glad you are finally getting us updated! Was beginning to think something was wrong! Please keep them coming!!!
Sorry for the delay I was having issues with Photobucket again so I am uploading pictures manually. I didnt realize photobucket was saving my cell phone pictures so I had 9000 pictures and it would not let me. Last week we finally dropped the Gen 3 Coyote in the Lincoln. Its by far the most difficult engine retrofit I have done. Multiple notches in the frame, had to use a different steering box, custom headers, etc ect. It fits though and looks awesome! One mod I did was to fab a base mount where the steering column passed through the firewall. I wanted to install an aftermarket tilt column. The steering column is going to be painted the same color as the turquois blue exterior. I have decided not to repeat the turquois and white interior because to me it looked like some surfer dude needed to be driving it or I needed fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror!! LOL I am also changing the wheels. I again must apologize about my absence. I been going at it every day and found out my retirement life is as busy as it was when I was working.

The vette has been at the fab shop for too long. The guys moved their shop in December which delayed work on it. There is so much that had been done it's hard to describe without pictures. Mango Bay Metalworks is a new shop started by 2 guys who come from nationally known shops. I like these guys so much that 2/3 of their current work load came from referrals for me. They are very appreciative of me and take good care of me.

Hey guys finally have some updates on the 63 Corvette build. There were some delays at Mango Bay Metalworks on the Corvette and we are just now back rolling on it.. I have been on a rollercoaster ride with my rear quarters. When I first started the car we removed the factory quarter panels and installed the 1.5" widen ones. I really regretted doing that as these widened quarters on the market dont allow the tires to tuck up in the fender. I had them on my 63 Corvette called The Punisher and I ended up cracking and have to repair the quarters because the tire hit the quarter. I prefer to get the tire and wheel covered at the very top. I told Mango Bay metalworks I didnt like the quarters and they said they could re-design the quarter panel to whatever I wanted. Wow is all I can say because these guys are talented. First they formed the metal to the body and making the body line thinner. I attached a picture of the 1.5 widened quarters and you can see if you move your tire out closer to the edged it doesn't have much upward travel. After shaping the sheet metal on the outside of the 1.5 inch widened quarter they trimmed the fiberglass all but 1 inch around the outside. The sheet metal was trimmed, waxed and attached to the inside and then glassed on the outside. Once the fiberglass cured they popped the metal panel out and we have a perfect custom quarter panel with loads of upper wheel travel. I want this corvette to be as low as possible.

Not having gone through all 97 pages, was this willy's in the thread? I know there are Photobucket pics missing. I've looked around and cannot find out what paint color was used on it.

Wow seeing this picture makes me wish I still owned the willys. The color is called Tangelo Pearl Orange from House of Kolors.

Hey guys all good on this end. Here is a little update on where my projects are in production. Finally I will have the 63 Corvette back on August 11. Although I am extremely happy with their work they have had it for 10 months and its been very frustrating. I will certainly be taking many photos to share with you guys but unfortunately I have to take the car apart to get the body ready for painting and paint all of the frame and engine parts. I will be painting the block and everything so here we go again!! The pictures I have attached show the bumpers tucked and show a cardboard template of the engine cover we will be making. This is pretty much the last bit of fab work we have thank goodness. I knew this phase of the build would be expensive but I think I am about 80% over what I thought it would be.

This shop also has my Lincoln too. Right now they are going to get it running. We had fuel lines, power steering, radiator, a/c and trans cooler lines etc to complete and all of the vehicle wiring. This is definitely are large undertaking but I will have it back by the end of the month and again I will make sure to take plenty of pictures. I would share progress photos but its really nothing exciting. We have discussed a very cool engine cover made out of steel show I am really looking forward to seeing this part of the build completed.

As you may remember I also have another 63 lincoln I am doing for a friend. I am finally able to deliver it to have the motor installed which is a big relief. Its been sitting in my garage and my buddy would like to see it going to the next stage.

I think I finally have the van done:). I had a Ride Tech "Shock Waves" and system purchased 9 months ago and just found time to get it installed. For those of you who are not familiar with the product they are coilovers with air bags so the shock is internal and the bags take the place of the coil springs. I have been a little nervous about swapping them out for my coilovers because I had my ride height perfect and the stance was just right. There is limited tire to fenderwell clearance in the front because the fender well is partially inside the van. I am hoping I can use the air ride system to raise the front slightly when I have multiple passengers. I found when I had 2 other people in the van and would hit bumps the tire would come into contact with the upper fenderwell. While I had the van on the lift I decided to install RGB rock light. LOL With the crazy light show I have going on inside the van I decided to have a light show under the van. I originally installed 12 lights but ended up adding 8 more. Both systems have a separate controller so each system is flashing different colors at different times. Yes I know thats a little silly but this van is really a lot of fun and has brought out the juvenal delinquent in me!!

I tried to upload a video but I dont know if you can view it or not.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to seeing those Lincolns done!

I forgot did you decide on color for the corvette?

Van looks great.
Definitely white on the outside. Engine bay, engine and interior I am looking at lime green, black, and a titanium color. Not sure where I will use them and it going to take a lot of thought.

With so much of my work directed at cars I was going through home improvement withdrawals and decided to dedicate part of more of my day to home improvement. One of my wants was to convert the garage and house to LED bulbs. I have replaced most of the interior lights in the house to LED and we also changed all of my soffit lights around the house and garage to LED spots. The last major LED swap was inside the garage. I have (30) 4' recessed fluorescent recessed fixtures in my garage. Its been 12 years since we installed the fixtures in the garage and I have had very little failures but thought it was time. I have about 80 four foot bulbs burning most of the day in the main area of the garage and with the a/c running my electric bill could use a little bit of a break. I know there are probably guys on here who could do the math on the energy savings going from 40 watt to 24.5 watt led tubes. I thought that I wanted the brightest bulbs they had so I got the 3000 luman 24.5 watt 5000 kelvin 4 foot T8 tube lamps. I was going to rent a 2 man lift to handle the 14' ceiling but decided I could use my 12 step ladder. The RV garage is 16 feet and I still need to change them out. All I can say is WOW its bright in the garage. LOL. I probably could have used a lesser watt bulb but there is no turning back. I could remove 2 of the 4 bulbs if it bothers me but I am getting used to it. With my eyes not as good as they used to be it certainly lights up the work space. Oh and by the way I rewired the fixtures by cutting out the ballast and using the wire connectors and it was a snap.

I was so glad that I listened to @Platonic Solid and installed LEDs in my garage. Nice upgrade and I like what I see in the background. What year is that golf cart? joking yes the van and the Lincoln!
The Lincoln is a 63. This one pictured is my friends that I am doing along with my 63. The motor is in mine and I have it at a shop getting a stainless exhaust system installed along with getting all mechanicals and wiring finished and hoping in the next few weeks it will be running.

here are a couple progress photos on the engine bay cover all fabricated with aluminum. All these parts will be Cerakoted before they get reinstalled. The hours my fab guys have in this phase has been unbelievable. I had a pretty generous budget before we started the engine compartment and it is double what I figured. There is no stopping now because the train is moving and at this level its hard to start making compromises. Thank you lord for my understanding wife!! PS...........I will have the vette back after 10 months in this shop and I will share more pictures.

Hey guys just attended the Triple Crown car show in Nashville this past weekend. We got to the Nashville Super Speedway early to set up and got a super good spot close to Dave Kindigs booth. Dave came by and I was able to get a photo with him. I just installed air ride on the van a few weeks ago and really enjoying my ride height options. I can almost call this project finished so I am concentrating on the Corvette now.
