The exhaust cutout trim appears to have a gap at the top center to the license plate portion?
Interior looks great.

It does look like it in the picture but the exhaust cutout follows the body on the top. Must be a shadow.

Wow that's a lot of red!

Lots of red but we are bringing black and the exterior body color inside. Here is the door panel.......I think its killer!! I am so proud of the fact we did this interior all in house.

Looks like you have running boards on the Vette in that last picture. Funny what pics can do. The door panel looks great, keep up the super work.

Wow, that is some truly impressive work. The black "truss" elements carried throughout the panels are very nice indeed.

Based on what I saw of the interior work, if things don't work out in the automotive world, consider wooden boat building. Thanks for posting all the great pics. It's great inspiration for those of us with slightly more pedestrian skills :) I just spent 30 minutes in a fabric store working out materials for some lift column pads..and I see this on my return. Humbling to say the least. Ha.

You're a bit biased, but I have to agree: it looks great!
I think it's the best color choice with the grey exterior and I'm normally not a big fan of red.

The truss detail is one of my favorite parts of the interior. The truss was drilled and taped so we could screw in the stainless socket head cap screws. Boats.... I think once I have finished riding the horse of automotive customizing I will be done!!

Wow! Very very nice. That is impressive.

thank you.

What a ton of fun following this project, both here and on another forum.

Have a very good friend wintering in Bradenton and think he would really enjoy seeing the '63 as he once owned a SWC which was purchased new by him.

Would it be OK to have him contact you directly? If your schedule allows, please PM with the details to contact.

Thanks for all you do.

Best,

Ody.

Sorry for the late posting here I took the Corvette to the Turkey Rod Run over in Daytona. What a beautiful show it was. We spent 3 days there with 4000 vehicles. We had lots of nice comments on the car.

It was nice getting the car home for a few days. Our deadline to finish the interior was for a photoshoot for Mecum. Yes, I am going to take it to Kissimmee in January for the big Mecum auction. Why......well its a lot of car and large investment to be sitting in my garage. This car for me was a demonstration of my creativity and an example of what we are capable of building at the shop.

I feel Mecum is a great place to take the car as many enthusiasts are there and hopefully sell a job from it. It will certainly be a great way to get our name out. $150K in parts and $130K in labor. It will have a respectable reserve.:D

Its a serious piece of work and I am very proud of it. My best yet!

Great looking! I like that you didn't put a cover over the coils & valve covers. Some builders are building coverts that look worse than the coils. The LS engine has been out long enough that the coils on cover look OK. IMO

It is a beautiful piece of art and you have not nearly shown enough pictures of it. I want to see more....more angles, more details... I want more.

The one thing that is standing out to me is the red interior. At first first glance I was thinking it was too much, but I then realized where it was going... and I like it. But there was one thing that kept nagging at me and I couldn't put a finger on it until now... the steering wheel. It just kind of stands out, opposing the red interior. The one defying element. Maybe by design but it seems off to me or maybe it's the angle of the pictures but I think you must post much more pictures of this car in order for me to be sure.

Fantastic job! Did I mention that I want to see more pictures?

The Vette turned out great. Impressive result.
I would think hearing and riding in the car would go along way to getting your reserve price too.
I agree w Caddyman re the engine cover comment.

I don't even have the words to describe this car, it is better than fantastic, if I were in the market I'd be all over it! I don't normally like red interiors, but you've pulled off the impossible and made me love the looks of this one, I don't know that I would change a thing on this car other than putting my name on the title. :)

I agree with you. I had purchased some very expensive Billet Specialties LS coil covers but I thought they looked like any other custom LS motor. The red MSD coils added some red in the engine compartment and made it look a little more hi-performance. I have seen some other builds from some of the big guys where they left the coils exposed.

The one thing that is standing out to me is the red interior. At first first glance I was thinking it was too much, but I then realized where it was going... and I like it. I like your observations and wish I had more of your insight.....I just make rash decisions and hope it works out.:) There was no way I was putting a black or grey interior in this car. I thought about a tan color for a minute.......my wife said no way so my next thought was red. I did the black column and steering wheel because I didn't want an all red interior so we used the black to break up the red. I will get some additional pictures.:) There is a guy flying in next week for a photo shoot so I will have more pics to share.

Oh ... and if you are so bold..... I want to see big smokey burnout pics! :)

I don't think I could do it!!

The Vette turned out great. Impressive result.

I agree w Caddyman re the engine cover comment.

Speaking of driving this car I need to start driving it. :) Need to make the bugs start to appear........been lucky so far all is working great............but there is always something.

Thank you! I really feel it is too. I am super proud of this car and feel so lucky to have a team in the shop allowing me to build a car of this quality. This is why I put up with all of the pain and suffering of running a custom shop!

That Vette is gorgeous and hangs with any of the big name builders. Good luck at auction!

Nice complement! Thank you.

After Mecum, you might be needing a bigger shop.

Ha ha.......I can't wait to get there to show the car off.

Completely and Totally Awesome!

I've got to come see it before it leaves the area...

Or come to Mecum!!

What an Awesome thread. From begining to end. The first shop with the house is just beautiful. Every car, truck , suv you touch turns into a beautiful machine inside and out. Your talent and the talent of the crew you have is top notch.
Keep it up and keep posting. I look forward to each post.

On a side note though
If ya cant afford shoe laces for them old tennis shoes just let me know. I think i can scrounge you up a par and send them to you.:D
