It's a real question. What will stick to concrete? The stuff I've used usually falls right off. I'd rather not spend the 10.00 bucks on Gorilla tape if I don't have to.

I'd rather spend 10 bucks on Gorilla tape if you think it will yield the results you are looking for than use something inferior and have it fail only to have saved....what, a few bucks?

My sig line appears on every post. It wasn't directed specifically at you, sorry.
And I was serious about duct tape. Sometimes you have to take a piece and rub the sticky side on the surface before taking a fresh piece to stick. It's worked for me many times especially on brick.
Gorilla tape won't work any better if the surface is not clean as I described.

We used the blue painters tape as well
Blue painters tape sometimes has trouble adhering to concrete, especially if there is residual dust. Our Installation Division uses Gorilla Tape which sticks great to concrete, and being thicker, and having a much stronger adhesive, gives a much cleaner edge with little, if any, bleed-through. Also blue tape is harder to remove if the epoxy cures. Duct tape which has fabric threads in it pulls up cleaner and leaves less residue.

Ditto on the Duct Tape, just don't leave it down too long or you will have goo to clean up...
