I'm searching for info on a wall coating system. Must be spelling it terribly wrong; ephous, effous, even tried eface.

What it is is a system that can go over existing construction or new. They put ties in the wall. Put on 1 1/2"-2" of foam and then cover it with 1/4" or so of colored concrete.

Anyone know what I'm talking about or have any experience with it?

I think you are looking for EIFS. Possible brand names are Parex and Dryvit.

Another timely thread, because I'm wondering what the best means for putting a coating on a masonry walls on bldg. About 50 years old. Hasn't been coated in about 30+ I'm guessing, and I'm getting bleeding right through from rain and storm. Not too bad in Southern California most time, but early this year, we got a hell of a lot of rain. I've got to do outside walls, and separately, I've got to do the roof. About 50,000 sq. ft....
