Can you use sds drill bits with success in a non sds drill? I bought a Milwaukee cordless hammer drill recently and I had a Bosch bulldog (trying. To consolidate tools and carry less). I'm not finding standard masonry bits. Thanks for the help.

I've used SDS+ bits in a 1/2" hammer drill. You've got to pay attention to how you chuck them up, as the slots cannot get under a chuck jaw, but otherwise they're generally superior bits.

If your hammer drill spins the bits, it may leave burrs on the shank that can damage your SDS chuck. Be sure to stone off any burrs before putting it back in your Bulldog.
