Some of you may know that I am an avid collector of the International Harvester branded tools from the '70s and '80s. This spring I found something a little different.

From the best of my knowledge and a couple brief looks at some catalog pics, the wrenches in this set were branded as Wright, but packaged and sold as a Massey Ferguson set.

Anyhow, here are some pics of my latest set of wrenches. Enjoy!

Wow, I will say that I am jealous. I wish I knew about wright tools years ago, because I would surely have a set or two. Knowing myself I may still at some point :p

If they were used on MF stuff, I'll bet that 5/8 & 11/16 are shot!
Seems like they used 7/16 hardware a lot.
Cool find! Got a fair amount of IH tools myself.

I'm thinking the IH tools will gang up on the MF tools and toss them out of the box.

 I just hope my John Deere torque wrench doesn't team up with the MF wrench set!

Never seen any "modern" Oliver tools.....but I wouldn't mind finding some Allis Chalmers tools.

It would have been cool if they would have stamped them MF like the IH tools, I suspect that would really increase the Collectability :shocking:

Nice Find...

Love that set! Massey was big in this area, there was a factory in Hamilton, ON, a few friends of my grandparents worked there. Never seen any wrenches though!

Until the early 80s, Massey combines were fairly common in my area of South Dakota. After that, they faded away. Their tractors never did catch on here. People that had the combines were happy with them.

The person that owned them must not have had any actual MF equipment... Especially combines because the would be worn out for sure. Nice find, I've never seen a MF set.
