For that price, you could use them as a back up spare set for junk yard hunting, and not be upset if you lost one or two of them. :thumbup:

Here's the specs:

* Constructed of chrome-vanadium steel for superior strength and durability
* Fully polished finish for easy cleaning
* Anti-rounding radius corners provide greater contact with the flat surface
of a fastener
* Shorter handle "stubby" wrenches allow easy access to tight spots
* SAE: 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 13/16 and 7/8"
* Metric: 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19 and 22mm
* Lifetime Warranty :canada2:

The Mastercraft Maximum stuff is pretty good isn't it?

You can't go wrong for the price. I have two sets of regular length Mastercraft "Professional" full polish wrenches, SAE and metric. I bought them in the early 90's and they saw lots of use. The only problem I note with them is that the chrome tends to wear and take on a "brassy" tint on the open end faces. Not to big a concern for the price.

I can hardly tell the difference between the Mastercraft and my Snap-on wrenches, just by feel. They are very similar.

I might pick up a set of these to throw in my truck.:thumbup:

Funny that I didn't see them, or any non-gearwrench style stubby, listed on the mastercaft website :headscrat, though they are listed at Canadian tire. Think it might be a closeout?

58-8544-2 for SAE 11 Pc
58-8545-0 for Metric (says 11 pc but they only list 10 sizes)
$13.99 each

Too bad for us down south, because it says the deal is in store only. I wouldn't mind having a set of each for my road box.

Didn't work for me.

They are not a close out. Canadian Tire sells their tools at 50% or more off all the time. You never pay full price unless you need something not included in full sets.

Just went today and they were all sold out.I can get a rain check, but I have reconsidered the purchase because the metric set is incomplete. They don't include the 12, 17, 18 and 21. These are some of the most used sizes.

The wrenches to fill in the set, start at 12.49 each. OUCH!!!!

It is however a great deal on what you get, but I want all the sizes. The one you need is always the one you don't have.

They'll make good loan out tools so you won't have to loan your snappies.

I just came from Canadian Tire and see that you can buy a 7 pc stubby set for 14.99 and it includes the 12mm and the 18mm. Its much cheaper than purchasing them separately to fill in your 11pc set.

The 12mm and the 18mm are about $14.** and $18.** respectively.
