Mastercraft maximum wrenches... Coo?

If it is Mastercraft as we know it here, it is made in Taiwan.
Fairly decent stuff for home DIY. Ratchets are very strong but I don't like their sockets or screw drivers.

The solid Mastercraft/Mastercraft wrenchs are made through Stanley and the Mastercraft Maximum ratcheting wrenchs are made through Gearwrench.

If you go into the FAQ section someone asked about country of origin they said hong kong aka China haha
I checked the box today too and said made in china, only the ratchet wrenches are taiwan made by apex

I use the Mastercraft wrenches professionally at work and they are Stella. I ain't broke one yet. When I loose one am like dam it. They are like $12-20 a set when on sale.
I'm not sure i trust the guy behind the keyboard for the CT site.
I did buy the set you posted for 35 bucks last time on sale
I own the set too and really like them, bought them probably 8 years ago now and work really well... Was just wondering where they were made, but the box says china... Seem to be well made for China, I think it's one of the better tools mastercraft has going

And I agree. Great set for the money. All my fancy pants Wrenches are at home. The MC's handle the trenches well.
The MC branded flexy gear wrenches are great. When on offer they are the cheapest of any rebrand anywhere. The heads are a little more chunky compaired to my 'Signet' flexy heads which is counter productive for a close quarters wrench.

Every couple of years mastercraft changes things up if you have some of the older stuff it may have been made by Gray tools. What I mean by that is that if you find some of the older mastercraft tools they actually say made in Canada on them.
My box said china about a year ago. Yours being 8 years old, who knows.
As far back as the early 1990's large Taiwanese tool manufacturing facilities were set up in China.

I do not believe that all top brand Taiwanese tool are manufactured in their own facilities.
Tool rebranding amongst the industry is a norm in Taiwan thus producing a more cost effective item.
Mastercraft tools are available in South Africa but are not the same as CT brand

Agreed.Awesome wrenchs.
This is the packaging from mine, when they were still called "Maximum" and a set of thirty two. Also paid less than $40, 5-6 years ago. Only says "imported".
