Anybody recognise these? I've looked all over and can't find any other set like this, must be rare or something..

Box says tiawan, ratchets say chrome-vanadium on the under side and the top side says" MasterCraft PRO tm"

They are not new, I bought them used 6 years ago ish, they are in A1 condition..
They are quite smoothe mechanisms with quick release buttons..

And a pretty cool 1/2-3/8 adaptor with a hole in it so your long extension can be used as a T handle or as a breaker whatever..

I should have got a pic of the logo on the box.. If need be I can take one..

Mastercraft is Canadian Tire house brand, the Pro line were usually branded "Professional Series" and were fine quality tools.

I have the Professional Series combination wrenches. They've rebranded them to the Maximum line at some point. They are very nice long pattern full polish wrenches, with relieved drive box ends and flat open ends.

Better photos of the branding on the tools would be good. I did find this ad which features a similar looking ratchet:

Yours look like a full polish copy of the Craftsman pear head quick release - selector looks identical.

That particular script and branding doesn't look like any of the Mastercraft tools I've seen / own.

The Canadian brand is all one word, "Mastercraft", your box looks like it is "Master Craft" - I wonder if it's the South African one, then?

I wonder if you can work backwards from the trade mark? It may not be registered. I'm not sure even how you might do that.

Anyway, looks like it is rare. I don't know if I would call it valuable, but interesting nonetheless.

Update: there is a bit of info online about the trademark:

Looks like it was sold in a Minnesota-based store called "Fingerhut". The holding company was / is Bluestem.

I've seen a lot of Mastercraft labeled tools and it seems that they have gone through a lot of contracts/changes in their packaging and lines. I'm sure that many are more "uncommon" than others but probably not valuable. I've seen a sizable amount of pro series label but unsure of how common that is.

Payed $20 for this set, its more valuable than that to me but I rarely ever break this set out because I don't want to break the set up and I'm not a real fan of "sets".. I like all my stuff in my boxes loose so I can just drop it in its correct drawer/compartment and its over, forget lining things up and that ****, lol..

This especially applies to my ratchets, extensions, and socketry/drivers.. If you saw my organization method you would understand..

Top is divided extensions, adaptors/swivels, 1/2 rats, 3/8 rats, 1/4 rats all in dividers..

Sockets go in 1/4 shallow, 1/4 deep, 3/8 shallow, 3/8 deep, 1/2 shallow, 1/2 deep, spark plug, specialty, hes, torx, swivel, etc all in there own divided spaces..
