i have been using a set professionally for close to year, with great results. i only broke one socket it was a 10mm 1/2" deep socket that i was severely abusing. they exchanged it no problem.
the only issue i have with mastercraft is trying to warranty a tool that isnt sold individualy. i have a torx impact bit (i think t-50) that i gave up on.
they want me to round up all pieces of the set (over 100) and bring them all in

I am licensed 310T (diesel truck mechanic) and have used the same set for six years now and they are still going strong. The only thing I don't like is the length of some of the shorter (deep) sockets, as in the 10mm is not as long (deep) as the lets say, 15mm. Also the numbers wear off the impact sockets very quick.

I have had very good luck with the sockets, both my older made in Canada and my newer made in China... My biggest complaint, the sets skip sizes, sometimes key sizes!

When they go on sale at a dollar a piece they are very hard to beat. The best deal is the $20 extendable ratchet with 12pt sockets. That Stanley sourced ratchet can take some serious abuse.

I wouldn't put too much faith in their bit sockets though. I've cracked and twisted so many I lost count. The hex bits and philips are the worst, they fit like ****.

My first decent set of tools years ago was a Mastercraft set that my wife bought from Fingerhut on payments. They served me well for many years. I sold almost the whole set in the metal box about 3 years ago. They just don't cut it when you are wrenching all the time. I do anywhere from 15-40 hours wrenching every week depending on time of year. I really like my Huskey Pro hand tools. I also have a 1/2" small set for the larger bolts that is a Stanley Pro, both have proven very durable for me. In fact, I was just beating that Stanley ratchet with a big 'ol hammer yesterday while changing struts on my son's Mazda. I'll use either one of those before I grab any Kobalt or Craftsman, they just don't feel good in my hands. (the Kobalt set is my son's)

If you want to see what is on sale next week go to the flyer and in the URL change this part "sneakpeek=N" to "sneakpeek=Y" (everything else is the same only the N to Y) and it will show you next week's flyer. It is usually up on Wednesday for the next week (before Wed it will not work).

Not sure where I learned this, it was likely from someone on here...
