I don't agree that we have to show tolerance for people abusing warranty systems. I think that if people used them fairly, to replace tools broken or failing during normal use (not abuse and/or finding them in a ditch), then we'd all have cheaper and/or better quality tools and less hassle with genuine warranty claims.

I'm certainly not implying the OP is a benefit or unemployment cheat. If he were, however, I'd call him out in just the same way.

Garfunkle,what I'm getting at is cursing and calling him a douche does nothing but make him wonder what the heck the big deal is about.If you don't agree with what he did why not explain why instead of just being rude.This is a young member,in his teens if I read another thread right,and also a new member of the site.He probably hasn't read all the threads about warranty repairs and the associated costs and long term costs to us all.I don't think your wrong outright because you did try to explain it in a later post but after being rude to him at the start its hard to get someone to listen to your point of view.I just think it would be more productive to explain your point of view before name calling not after.

Just to get this thread back on track, here are some wrenches showing a comparison of the same size (3/4 and 19mm) of a few brands. I borrowed a few from my brother for the pic. They are Mastercraft (regular version, Snap-on (older style), Gray Tools, Snap-on, Mastercraft Pro( early 90's logo), Mastercraft Pro (I think late 90's) and another Mastercraft Pro (early 90's logo).

I would recommend them to anyone looking for inexpensive tools that perform very well.

I agree with Dex,for about 30 bucks a set when their on sale you just can't go wrong.I've bought numerous sets over the years when working mobile because they're so cheap that if you lose one you don't get too upset.I've never had to warranty one in 20 yrs of using them.

I have 4 sets just like the 19mm at the top of the pic, 2 sets standard and 2 sets metric as well as 2 sets of the older offset gear wrench ones they sell, I haven't had an issue with any of them I've had for the last 15+ yrs I've had them, the only problem is that if I do warrenty them I'll have to send to my Dad to do for me, I'm too far away now, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.

Thanks Krusty!!! I'm on here for the company to talk about tools, and I sell stuff on occasion to buy more tools!! Name calling is just an indicator of when someone runs out of intelligence.

Sometimes it happens when the person I am debating runs out of the intelligence to comprehend the perfectly well reasoned and logical argument I'm putting forward.

I deal with very difficult people on a daily basis at work!!
No one has the power to tee me off, only I do!! And people take things to personaly, this is a garage forum and that is the only reason people should be here to discuss tools and cars and....you get the idea!!
