To illustrate the difference in U.S. sold vises over the years...

The Craftsman is 64 pounds of 60,000 lb iron...

The Starrett 924 is about 54 pounds...

Over twice what the Menards vise weighs...and better steel, too...

The vise you're curious about is a Chinese "multi-brand" (sold everywhere)...it works---but how well and for how long???

Personally, I'd find an old USA made vise and restore it, then you'd have something...

The "Vises" thread, has a plethora of information...
