Does anyone have photos of the Masterforce 56" combo box? I've narrowed it down to the HF 56" and the Masterforce 56". I like the Masterforce grip latch better than the HF slide lock however I have not been able see the MF 56" in person. Masterforce has dimensions on their website but they don't match the generated photos I have found online.

I have the 41" combo and love it, but I wish I'd have got the 56". No pics right now sorry.

I say go with the Masterforce. The griplatch is far superior in every way to the HF plastic latch. Overall box construction seems to be similar. Plus you can get different color other than red if you want. I personally like red tool boxes so that doesn't matter to me. I want the Masterforce 72". When it goes on sale 999.99. One of the best value in tool boxes.

I could get away with the 46" combo but I wouldn't have much room to expand. The local Menards only had the 46" in stock so I'm gun shy on the 56" because of not being able to see it in person.

The Masterforce 56" is built just like if not a little better than the 46". It's for the most part the same box as any box on strictlytoolboxes.com. I can say they are good boxes for sure.

I just bought the John Deere 56" box. Same as all those other brands, including Masterforce. They're all made by QCI. The 56" sits next to my 72". The 72" is a little more stout that the 56", but the 56" is still a really good box. Better than a Craftsman or Kobalt for sure. I'd go for the Masterforce for sure.

How does the wide drawer hold up being weighted down with sockets?

Both of the 72" and 56" I have have 2 sets of slides on the deep drawers. In the 72" I have that big top drawer loaded with sockets and ratchets. It's no problem. You can tell theres some weight there but it has no problem sliding open or closed. Doesn't bind up or anything. I've been very pleased with it.

I'd like to check these boxes out, but no Menards near me. Does anyone besides Menards carry them?

Unless you know a place that handles Montezuma, or Extreme Tools/Tool Vault you may be out of luck. I'm not sure there's any other brands with the same boxes.

My only concern in the Masterforce box is whether or not the wide drawer will bow with time. I like the box and really like the griplatch drawers. I'm torn between this box or the Homak H2pro 56". I really like that the Homak has the wide drawer split in half and the heavier metal it's made of but I dislike the detent slides and that all drawers are 3" tall.
