I'm looking to buy some Masterforce cabinets & workbench to fit into my small available space in my garage (just over 9' wide).
From looking at other manufacturers systems, (like this home depot.com Husky-6-Piece-Ready-to-Assemble-Steel-Garage-Storage-System-in-Black-108-in-W-x-98-in-H-x-24-in-D-G10808ST1-US/305420347 ) I wanted to go with a 72" workbench with wheeled cabinets underneath, a tall cabinet one side of the workbench and wall mounted cabinets above the workbench. I like this set up so I can wheel out the under workbench cabinets when I want a mobile work surface or to pull up a wheeled stool to sit at the workbench.
I checked out the competition, but liked the Masterforce pieces better. But I'm not sure why Masterforce doesn't promote any under workbench stationary cabinets or under workbench rolling tool chests. Not sure why they don't show this as an option. I wanted to ask who else on the forum may have some suggestions based upon their own setup.
My tentative plan is to buy the following Masterforce pieces:
- One 72" W adjustable height workbench (Menards ® SKU: 2114316)
- Two 30.5" W 5-Drawer Rolling Tool CabinetsMenards ® SKU: 2451902) for underneath the workbench
- Two 30.5" W Stacking Garage Storage Cabinets (Menards ® SKU: 2114368) for my tall cabinet
- Two 30.5" W 2-Door Wall Garage Storage Cabinets (Menards ® SKU: 2114396) to mount above the workbench
Anyone have this set up or something similar? Pros/Cons?
I know I'll have to take off the side handles and power cord wrap to fit both pieces under the workbench. Any thoughts on buying a separate 16" Side Power Drawer and 16" Side Cabinet in lieu of the second 5 Drawer rolling cabinet? I think they will fit under the 72" workbench but not sure.
Since I chose two of the 5 drawer rolling cabinets no cabinet top is provided (so
other pieces could be put on top or Side Lockers/cabinet or Power Drawer could be put on the sides. I didn't see any optional tops for the 5 drawer rolling cabinet, only for the very similar stationary 4 drawer cabinet or similar. Am I missing a top that would fit?
I'd love to hear if any of you have any ideas I've missed or better ideas.
Thanks in advance!
