Masterforce locking extensions

Looking at getting some Masterforce ( Menards) locking extensions. I have some Gearwrench. The Masterforce appear to be the same as the GW except for the color on the lock ring. Green instead of red.

Does anyone have both or know if they are the same manufacture?

I have both and while they appear to be from the same manufacturer, I can't honestly say that they are. Why does it matter?

I assume they have the same way of locking, etc.?

It matters because I like the Gearwrench and in some lengths they are either no longer available (at least I can't find them online anywhere) or are much more expensive than the Masterforce. I happened upon the Masterforce while searching.

Everything is the same except for the color. I have both brands in 1/4 and 1/2 drive, but don't have the Masterforce in 3/8.

Both are made by Apex, I believe. Honestly, Id just go to HF and get the locking Pittsburghs. Probably the same thing and cheaper than MF or GW.
