I had originally posted this to the Hot Deals forum, in the Menards thread. Unfortunately, that thread doesn't seem to get much traffic at all. So, I thought I would try asking my question here and see what responses I get. Hopefully posting it in two areas doesn't violate any forum rules, given the reason for two posts.
Here it is:
I was in Menards yesterday, looking at the basic MF screwdrivers. The acetate handled ones. I've seen other posters on here say they like them, so I hope to get some answers here.
Anyway, I noticed they do not seem to have any sort of "gripping" feature on the tips. No grooving or "roughing" on the surfaces. In particular the philips of various sizes and the slotted 3/16's and 1/4X4" ones. In the case of the slotted ones, the flat faces of the tips looked shiny and slick. To the point where you could almost use them as a very small mirror.
So, has anyone with these tools had problems with cam-out with the philips or slipping with the slotted ones?
Appreciate any insight.
