Hello, this is the first winter that ive had my masterforce box and ever since its started to get really cold, the drawers are surprisingly pretty hard to pull out. Once you have them out, they slide really easily, but its when you begin to pull it out its hard to pull out. Its also hard to click in when your trying to close it. If someone could clue me in why this is happening or what i can do to fix this, give me a idea. Thanks.

how many times did you open and close the drawers?? the reason is when i was at menards and open the brand new masterforce, it was that hard to pull out but few months later, i did play it again after it was same box as display, it was much better because the ball bearings has been used...

Even same thing with my KRL1003 that one slides has lost balls (after been open and close a lot for almost 20 years) my snap on guy warrantied and now it was that sticky to open and close... i am going to keep open and close to make it easier...

Yes I do indeed, the lubricant is hadening do to the cold as it is a low quality lube. Take out one drawer at a time and clean the old lube off. I use Amsoil HD lube. When its 11 degrees my drawers still open easily (no comments).

Thanks, JASTECH

ohhhhh, that makes sense, I have a bottom 41" and a top 36" and i actually took 2 of the slides out about 5 months ago when it was still warm out and cleaned them because they had dirt in them and put some bearing grease on them and those are the only 2 that are very easily to pull out. Now, is bearing grease too thick or the wrong grease to use on these drawers?

I don't have a Masterforce box. Mine is another brand, and the first winter, the drawers were stiffer like yours. Every mechanical thing gets stiffer in extreme cold.
I misted a tiny bit of Tri-Flow on the slides and it made a world of difference. Tri-Flow is a thin liquid that doesn't thicken in cold, and leaves very little residue to collect dust in the summer. It leaves a thin coat of teflon on metal surfaces.
