If you can stand the smell and afford the bill, go for it. They are great mats for many purposes other than horses. A little expensive, but very versatile.

I have one of these in the bed of my Ranger. Love them. It's a nice mat if you need to sleep in the back of your truck. Heavy things don't slide around in the beck of your truck. I wouldn't be afraid to use them in your garage.

It's concrete.

IMO you protect it because at some point in the future you you will want perfect concrete... But if it is an AG building and will never get finished beyond raw concrete, who cares?


I have a barn full of those horse mats...no complaints
