I have a 7.5 pump, 5.5kw, 960 rpm, 30 cfm. I am new at this. I really don’t need some ******* talking down to me or trying to piss on my post. I am just trying to figure out how to size a motor up to it that will do good for me. I use a lot of air tools and have a blasting cabinet and use it continuously. I have a 60gal tank that I am using for it. Also what pulley setup should b used for this application. Thanks a lot for ur help.

First, relax, people here want to help :) . So I will try.

30 CFM is a huge pump. Do you know what pressure rating the CFM is at? Or is that just displacement at 960 RPM? What does the 7.5 signify?

I have a Quincy 7.5 HP, 220V, 30A running, and it's rated at ~23 CFM at 175 psi. So, as a guess, you are going to need at least a "real" 7.5 HP 220V motor if it's rated similarly. If you calculate the KW on mine, it's 6.6 at 220V, 7.2 at 240V

To the original poster. We are a decent bunch of folks on here, and most often very helpful. no need to have an attitude like what you've exhibited. .
if you want to, feel free to come back with a much nicer tone and see how that works. otherwise, find another place .
