You're better off getting Milwaukee fuel cordless impacts. Better price, warranty, and better specs than the Matco's. If you're going with the Matco's cuz you have a truck come by see if he can get you the Milwaukee. My Matco guy always gets me off brand things I'm looking for

My driver let me test them out for a few days and seriously they aren't worth a damn. Seriously under powered for what they're priced for. I had a snap on CT7850 that I sold and picked up Milwaukee fuels and have never looked back.

I work in a shop that supplies Matco. We don't use the 1/2" drive, but we have several of the 18v 3/8" floating around, before that we had the 14.4v 3/8". The 18v felt strong when we first got them, and I was pretty impressed. To me, they seem to go down in power over time. They have been in circulation for 6 to 8 months, and they just don't seem to have the torque they initially did. They are still a good tool, but I don't think I would want to pay a premium for one if it were my $.

Thanks for the good reply. After 6-8 months do they still have the power to do everyday jobs? If your work offered a used impact to you tomorrow how much would you pay for it to take it home? Reason I ask I had a friend of mine tell me his coworker had a 1/2 and 3/8 for sale that he needed cash asked me if I wanted them but never used either one so trying to see how much is to much to pay or if it's even worth it. Imy probably gonna keep them at home seeing how I have air at work.

I will say that while they feel like they go down in power over time, they still have good power and usability. I would have to think about what to pay for one. Did you mean 300 for both the 1/2 and the 3/8? If so, yes, I would get them if I were you.

Absolutely tex. I'm sure they will do well, especially for the price. If you get them and decide you don't like them, it probably wouldn't be hard to put them up on CL and recoup your money (or more)
