I have had this set for a few years now and my go to with engine work
But these are expensive and only available thru matco (currently)
And with Armstrong shutting there doors soon will these be replaced with pinned version aka (gearwrench) I know pinless is available in 3/8 and 1/2 drive now

Has anyone else been using these that know how great they are and don't wear out like chrome and get super floppy

They probably won't be replaced by gearwrench. Armstrong was one supplier for matco. Now aj manufacturing makes the 88 series of ratchets. Not sure if they will be making other items like the pinless sockets. But gearwrench doesn't have to be the de facto supplier to matco now. Matco can contract with other companies

Just because they don't make them for Armstrong anymore, they should still make them for Matco. I love those type of swivel impact socket.

Armstrong brand is being eliminated along with some production capacity but the Apex plant is remaining open. Should the plant close I doubt Matco will let one of their most popular and advertised products go anywhere. Like the ratchets im sure they'd just find a new manufacturer.
