FWIW, they are probably pretty good. I have Matco sockets in 3/8 and 1/2

Matco makes a fine set of sockets. Wish I had q dealer so I could by some of their stuff.

I will never discourage somebody from buying good tools. Matco has good sockets and the 1/4" is no different. I used craftsman for 1/4" for years simply because 1/4" sockets are the ones that like to disappear the most and I didn't what to loose good, expensive tools. That said over the years my 1/4" has upgrade to SK and Cornwell and I havn't lost one of those, yet.

i say buy them while your in school trust me ive been in your shoes as well.


also look into buying the matco flex head extra long ratchets wrenches! those are the best things made and with the student discount you love them even more

I've used a set of 1/4'' matco's before and they are really good sockets.
