I've had a a snap on krl and 2 matco 6s boxes, I like the drawer pulls better on the matco box because there bigger/beefier then the S.O. krl but now they have the epiq series with the nice drawer pulls. I've been very happy with my matco boxes, so I would say the 6s or the epiq box would be my choice.

It's loke a Dodge vs. Ford vs. Chevy question. They are all built well so it comes down to choice. Same thing applies to Matco vs. Snap On boxes. I personally don't like the lock-n-roll.

Better price gets my vote as well. I have quite a few matco tools, but mostly snap on as far as strictly truck brands go (both dealers are awesome to deal with) I priced the same type of box with each company, Snap on gave me more for trade in on my mac boxes and the price was 600 dollars less without trade in, so i got a KRL. I have been happy with it, it serves the purpose well.

seems a little rediculous that the cornwell guy wont negotiate with you, especially since most toolboxes are like 1000% markup, so theres plenty of wiggle room to make both parties happy. As far as boxes go, i own a snappy 54" master series box and i love it. Dont have much experience with matco boxes, but they seem to be well built. Snap ons finance department is super easy to deal with too. Between buying my box and my Solus Ultra its been a breeze.

I was in the same situation 2 months ago, epiq tripple bank or matco 6s. I got to compare a 6s double bank and epiq double bank side by side and went with the 6s. And this is coming form a guy whos box is 90% snap on, 5% matco, 5% craftsman.... The snappy guy wasnt to happy loosing the bid (they both matched each others prices) but he cant deny my years of buying from him so he is still cool

I wouldnt mind an elaboration on this. What swayed you? Cosmetic issues, drawer layout, features? Or was it a question of quality?
