Sterff makes a good point. I have the same set you are looking at. They have worked well for nearly 4 years without a hiccup.

I have the Matco sales flyer and they have the 7pc axle nut socket set for $71.50. On top of that, i think I can get for a few dollars cheaper for paying in cash. Thinking about getting a set. Do you all think it's a good deal? My only gripe is they aren't made in the USA.

Its about $20-$30 too much compared to street prices of other quality brands but perhaps thats worth it to you for the piece of mind when it comes to replacement. I dont think you'll ever break one though.

On the flip side the SK set goes for about $130 if you want to spend a bit more for USA.

those are lilse or lisle i think. I have the same set for 82 bucks on the truck, or at least the case is the same. i have sold them for 1.5 years now and not one has been brought back to the truck for warranty reasons.

I believe that Matco set is from Taiwan.

I picked up the HF Axle set. Figured for $40 it will solve all future repairs and I don't feel like running to the auto parts store to 'rent' sockets. I paid $49.99 + 20% coupon = $39.99.

Hell, in the recent flier this set is listed for $39.99 and add a 20% coupon... $32. Damn! always miss HF sales. ...

Tough to beat. Keep the receipt and if any break, return and get a new one. They are a nice set to have, even 4 a DIY'er home guy like me. Some of the sockets I will probably never use in my lifetime, but I'll give 'em to my kids if I have any, or nephews?

I picked up a 32 and a 34mm from a "local" autoparts store a few years back. They were basically NOS KD, made in USA for less than 15 each. Point is, maybe poke around if you have an old mom&pop type store in the area. You might be surprised.
