Hey,

this ad has been up for quite a while and it looks like he's getting pretty desperate. But, I need to know as much information about this box as possible. Anybody happen to know the model number and what type of slides it uses? What is a fair offer and what would be a GREAT deal. Thanks for the help.

I would guess bearing slides but contact the guy selling and ask him, he can probably give you the model # and date if the sticker is still on the back. I can tell you it isn't worth the "I was asking $900". Don't know if the side box is included or not but it appears to be a Sack On so it's not worth much ($25 - $50) and if there are holes in the side of the box from mounting it that would lower the value of the Matco box. To me it's a $250 to $350, give or take, toolbox. Have a look at it if it's in really nice shape maybe a little more, if you like it offer what you think it's worth to you, factor in not having to search and drive all over looking for a toolbox.

I'll have to do some math, I'm only going to jump on this if it's a really great deal. I purchased two of the HF toolboxes for the garage already and it's working just fine. My plan was to sell 2 other toolboxes that I have inside the house to help pay for this one as it would be nicer and give me more storage. And yes, if he did drill holes for that cheap side box, it may ruin the whole deal as I would want to take it off. I'll see if he replies. Thanks

I have one of those!

Mine is 30 inches wide (I think) about 18 deep and has friction slides, the drawers are 24" wide inside. It weighs about 250 pounds (I'm guessing, its a beast and a half). My model number is MB720. I paid $300 for mine and I think its worth every penny, but I wouldn't pay too much more, I've seen them go for $140-160 on CL.

Mine doesn't say excellerator, I've no idea what that is, (maybe ball bearing slides) also, I think his is wider than mine?? can't remember.

If you could get him down to a reasonable amount ($400), I'd be all over it. Generally, figure the end cabinet at about $100

I don't know why you guys are speculating on the seller of the box drilling holes to mount the sidebox?! There's a lip on the side of the Stack On sidebox (as there are on all sideboxes I've seen) that will slip over the edge of most rollaways and hold it in place.

Around here anyhow, it seems to be quite common for people to drill some hole to further attach the side boxes. It wouldn't be so bad if they were nicely drilled and space but some of the ones I've seen look like they were done randomly with a can opener.

There was a Matco Excellerator on craig's list around here not to long ago, it did have ball bearing slides.

in that picture I can't see the lip of the side cab grabbing over the edge of the main box. So it is most likely drilled.

Excellerators are ball bearing slides on the full width drawers, and I got a matching top and bottom in really nice shape for $400 a month ago.
