Matco cordless ratchet

Is anybody using this type of tool? Is it worth it? How's the overall performance?
Thinking about dropping some coin on one.

Most guys I know must use the cordless impacts on stuff. I don't see much use for a ratchet unless you needed to get into a tighter space but if thats the case you could just get a regular ratchet. It might be a nice option for some cases but it seems like on of those "rare use" tools.

Use my milwaukee every day. It has a smaller head and body than the Matco, a little less tq but you are probably going to use it to break loose fasteners anyway

I use it more often than my regular ratchets.

Go for the Milwaukee over the matco more versatile and a lot less money with better warranty aswell

Milwaukee. I use it all the time. Fast. If it fits I use it.

I have a MAC cordless which which is similar. I love it and use it all the time. You can break bolts free using it like a regular ratchet and then run the bolts out. If you have a need for one I do not think you would regret it. Those new Matco ones are fairly pricey I would look at the Milwaukee if you have the cash to buy it outright. I paid 229.00 for the MAC.

I was going to go with matco because I already have their 10.8v series impact and screwdriver and just love them.
We have a new dealer and I could get 20% off.
If I put a nice 100$ down I could just make 20 dollar payments.

I use my daily and have for the past 5-6 years. Definitely well worth the investment. FYI, 2 guys who work for went with the Milwaukee and both have had them warranted twice in the past 18 months. Hard to use a tool if it's not usable or out for repair .................

I wouldn't pay for anything but the milwaukee. Best one for the money. I use mine everyday at work. Matco has a nice one it looks like but it's so dang expensive.

I have absolutely zero issues with my ac delco ratchet. VERY well made two batteries and a charger in a hard case... its like 170 on amazon. Id look into it, they have a decent line of tools on the same battery too, not quite as much as the truck brands but that have 3/8 impact, boroscope inspection camera, a buffer etc. the only thing i can see being a downfall is that its slightly bulky but its never bothered me because i work on big school buses. btw it puts out like 58 pounds of torque too =)

I have both of Matco's cordless ratches (1/4 in and 3/8 in) and both are amazing tools, had to send off the 1/4 in for warranty repair because it quit one day, but has been fine since...the fact that you can use the same batteries as the other cordless tools they have is a bonus. The 3/8 ratchet may work with the 10.8 batts but was designed for the 3.0 amp/hr 12v batts. So it may not have the same output without it. I use mine for everything unless I can't get them in that spot. Just keep the head greased through the service fitting and they should last you a while.

dont care for matco power tools since they only come with 1 battery at the same prices as mac or snap on versions. i also heard those matco batteries are catching on fire somehow

I have the IR version and I like it a lot. Use it in the home garage.
