So awhile ago, around August 16, I emailed Matco about a ratchet I had that was slipping. I gave them the details, it was a flex head 3/8” that was Danaher made. I knew they didnt make it anymore, so I asked about a repair kit.

I emailed at 9:00 PM August 16, and recieved a reply at 11:30 AM the next morning that read “We have repair kits for those. Please provide your shipping address and I will send one out.” Did so, and 30 minutes later I recieved a reply saying one was sent out under warranty.

Sure enough, heres August 21 and look whats in the mail:

I thought I would let everyone know, because in my book this is EXCELLENT customer service. Keep in mind, I never asked to be sent one, I wanted to know where they could be purchased, and they OFFERED to send one. Great job Matco, I’ll remember when I make my next tool purchase.

It appears MATCO had a repair kit in stock. For now, hats off to them for thinking ahead and stocking Your needed parts. A few years down the road, they may have to warranty with a new ratchet if parts are no longer produced for the Danaher product.
