Which bits? The two most popular are the turbomax bits and the cobalts. I personally have the turbomax bits and absolutely love them, i've drilled tractor trailer frames with them and never had a problem. They have the double cutting head, they're self centering and anything larger than 1/4" is warrantied if it bends breaks chips or dulls.

Just pick up that set its awesome best drill bits I ever used . Driver said he will warrenty the front 2 rows if any brake or need sharpen . Just the last row he won't the smaller size ones. Like the durable steel case they come in . Seems like everything is in plastic cases now. He also told me they are Irwin drill bits In Matco case . Said Matco owns Irwin.

I have a set that's probably 10 years old and they're still good. I bought them used off a buddy, otherwise something like that new I'd buy Irwin, Hansen or like. Matco and truck brand tools are only worth the money if they can be rebuilt or replaced imo. As stated above, Matco warrants 1/4" and larger. I'm not sure I've ever broken a bit that big. Perhaps that is the reason they only warrant the large ones?? Then again, I'm not a professional mechanic and don't use them every day.

Matco is a subsidiary of Danaher Corporation.
Irwin is a subsidiary of Newell Rubbermaid.
Both are publicly traded companies separate from the other.

Try Norseman, Champion, or Triumph bits.
This Champion set is 1/3 of the price.

I agree that Norseman or another dedicated drill bit manufacturer would be a better bet than a truck brand.

+1 for Norseman. I prefer to avoid truck brand consumables as they are way overpriced and warranty (if any) depends on the driver more often then not.
