Hello, my name is Joe, I’m new to the forum. I’ve came across the Garage Journal many times and thought this would be the best place to discuss my issues. So I recently purchased a Matco ETWC250F 1/2” (electronic) Torque Wrench. I’ve used it several times so far but am having issues with it. The wrench seems to operate like it should however when you are using it, if you ever so slightly bump the head, or any part of the tool for that matter, on something before or after a wrench turn/ torque process, the tool will stop the process, the display will reset itself to the previous torque setting and then momentarily go through a shutdown or reset stage. It’s really annoying because you then have to set the wrench down, not touching it, wait for display to go through the previous torque setting number and then you can pick it up again to reset the torque setting you are currently using. I have searched the great internet for documentation or anything regarding this matter. Search of the tool name and model number has very limited information, I can’t even find anything on Matco’s website. No manual nothing. The model I have looks exactly like Gearwrench’s and I think Dewalt, except for mine is orange and black. I do believe it’s an older model of Matco’s. I will attach pictures of the tool. Anyone out there have same issues or at least a user guide to reference proper tool use?
