After doing this for years I recommend buying screwdrivers new so they have nice handles that arent beat up and cut your hands. Hardline tools like ratchets and sockets are fine to buy used. Anymore I skip on ratchets that have flaking Chrome. No fix for that. Unless you get into warranty stuff but half the time it's easier to buy a nice one for a few bucks more
