Matco impact wrench boot question

Any of you guys ever install one of the Matco impcat wrench boots that cover both the barrel/nose and handle of the gun.

What did you think of this boot, my dealer threw me a killer deal on that gun, so I wanted a boot thrown in and he agreed, so I choose that one. What's your opinion? I've always installed boots on my impacts whenever possible as that I look at these tools as long term tools so I want to take care of them.

not that same exact boot but I have the same gun, is not that easy but be patient and do it in a warm place where the rubber boot can stretch a bit, otherwise it might rip

The IR 2135 ones fit too.
I have that kind of boot on my 3/8 matco gun and its held up really well.

I have that gun with a Matco labeled boot. Slipped on easily enough. Make sure it is warm when you do it.

Boots are a must for my air tools, helps protect them. I want to keep my $350 impact working!

i use boots on all my air tools,if you let the boot soak in hot water for about 4 or 5 minutes it will slide right on.

I usually get a new boot annually lol and hand mine down to my co-workers. I found the best way to install them is to soak them in hot water for a few minutes and then slip them on.

Any issue with the boot that covers the handle? I've never had a boot over the handle, so with that is the grip still good or does it seem kind of wiggly?

Bring a pot of water to boil and place the boot in the water for about 2 minutes.
Remove boot and install quickly.

Gonna sound stupid, but I had a snap on boot that I couldn't get on my air hammer, the hot water didn't work so I stuck it in the microwave for like 30 seconds or so and it was real soft and went right on.

I had that exact set on my 2135 and I liked it. I really liked the handle, it helps absorb vibration a bit

Thanks for the tip, it works great! Today I boiled a pot of water, then soaked each boot for two minutes, pulled them out with tongs, wiped out with paper towel, then installed. I did two Snap On CT4410 3/8" and a CT6850 1/2" cordless impacts. Sure beats the **** out using a heat gun.

Update, well I received my new boot for the Matco MT1769A (IR 2135) and am very impressed, the grip boot is excellent, no slippage and really adds to lowering the vibration felt when using it.
