I bought a used long neck Matco Infinium 3/8" ratchet. It worked perfect out of the box, but it was dirty so of course I took the head apart to clean it and grease it. Now I can't get it working again. There are 2 wavy washer springs that should be putting pressure on the anvil piece and it's not working quite right.

Does anyone know how these should be put back in? One issue I can't figure out is if they should be laid flat against each other or rotated by 90 degrees so they twice as high. IF that is the case how do you keep them oriented when assembling? I have attached the parts stack diagram. I have all parts and I have them in the correct order.

To answer my own question in case anyone else stumbles on this. The wave washers have to be placed crest to trough. I had a hard time keeping things aligned so I used a little drop of super glue to connect the 2 washers and keep them aligned with each other. When in use the washers don’t rotate they only apply pressure and once everything is assembled and contained the springs compress and the glue becomes a non-factor.
